Faith Comes By Hearing

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Romans 10:14-15
The ministry is going well and growing by the grace of God. Our home church, The Wireless Church of Christ in the town of Wireless (Yangon Region) is also doing well as are our four Children’s Homes in Yangon, Jung Byaw, Bago, and Putao. School started back up in June and we have some new children in our homes and others have graduated or left.
While our Children’s Home kids are protected from conscription our church members and their kids are not. Several of our young church men joined of promised incentives. The military is getting stronger and has retaken some of the towns that they had lost to the PDF (People’s Defense Force).
Several of the evangelists that we support are in very dangerous areas. One told us that just the other day jets flew over and dropped over 20 bombs. Their church and homes were destroyed and now they live in a tent. Please keep them in your prayers. But there is also good news! A former Yangon Children’s Home kid is now an assistant pastor of a church in Putao.
Khaw and I are very busy and have been visiting churches across Myanmar to encourage and teach the word of God. We have also led many teams in collecting and distributing rice, oil, mosquito nets, and other needed items in areas devastated by the earthquake and the civil war.
Please continue to pray for us, and thank you very much for making our ministry possible.
Judah and Khaw

Pictured above: Judah and his team of Disaster Relief workers minister to earthquake victims and to local villagers in the greater Mandalay region. They visited and encouraged many local churches and distributed rice, oil and mosquito nets. Remarkably they were allowed to enter a local Buddhist temple and share the Gospel! This was truly a miracle. Pray that the seeds of faith will take root and grow.

A big “Thank you” to all those who gave to our Disaster Relief efforts and especially to International Disaster Relief Services (IDES) for a grant to help purchase food relief and mosquito nets. Some gave specifically to help rebuild homes that were destroyed. May God bless you all for your compassion and generosity.

Mai May Thantar Kyaw from our Jung Byaw Children’s Home passed her high school exams and is now attending Myanmar Bible Institute (MBI). We are so proud of her!

We visited Jung Byaw Children’s Home and church and took the children on a field trip to Chaung Thar Beach. This is a long drive with many check points, but God went before us and made a way for our wonderful time just having fun.

Your support allows us to give new believers their own Bible and to share special treats with our Children’s Home kids. Thank you for your prayers and support!

We have many new believers and we praise God for each one!
Prayer Requests from Judah and Khaw:
- Praise that our children are safe in American and Malaysia and working or going to school. Thank you to those who are helping them.
- Pray for the leadership (president) needed at MBI in Pyin Oo Lwin.
- Travel mercies and good fruits resulting from upcoming trips for Judah and Khaw to visit to Thailand to attend seminars.
- Funds needed to build houses for IDP (Internally Displaced People). The cost is about $500 per home and we want to build 10.
- That our faith will increase even as the evil around us seems to increase.
